How do our plumber prices work?

If you are looking for a cheap plumber in Portsmouth, you are going to end up with a din. With Pompey Plumb Ltd you get a professional plumber, a quality service for a fair price, and you won’t have to wait 2 weeks for it.

So how much are the plumber prices? Everything is based on an hourly rate, which you can find on the prices table below. Call-out charges apply to same day appointments and appointments booked outside of usual working hours.

If the job location is outside of the Portsea Island, the price is inclusive of the travel time, which is calculated using Google Maps for the ‘to and from’ the job location and the PO5 3JP postcode. The travel time is then added to the appointment time.

All appointments are calculated like so: call-out charge + (hourly rate x number of hours (minimum of 1)) + materials cost + first hour fee(£7.50) = total cost. Call-out charges are equivalent to half the current hourly rate.

Minimum charge plumber prices

For some items, including electric shower replacements, toilet and radiator installations, there is a minimum charge price. These prices are still based on an hourly rate, such as, 3 hours for an electric shower and from 3 hours for a toilet installation. This means you are covered for that amount of time and any extra time is charged at the current hourly rate. We do our best to keep the prices fair and you informed of any extra time that may be taken.

Plumber prices on weekends, evenings and admin days

Our booked appointments are available from 8am to 6pm, Tuesday to Friday. Any booked appointments outside of these times are subject to a call-out charge. All cancellations of booked appointments booked more than 48 hours away, must be done 24 hours before the first hour, plus 12 hours per any additional hours. Appointments cancelled too close to the appointment time means we are unable to fill the space and will be at a loss. We would require the appointment labour costs and any specialist materials to be paid for in this instance.
